U.S. Cellular has pretty amazing service for their customers and is aggressively rolling out solid smartphone offerings running the Android OS. The Samsung Mesmerize is a Samsung Galaxy S device with a large beautiful Super AMOLED display and flash with their 5 megapixel camera.
Check out the full post for details on the Samsung Mesmerize and a video walk through with the device.
The entire front of the Mesmerize is flush. There are four touch sensitive areas for Menu, Home, Back, and Search.
The U.S. Cellular label is found above the display and below the headset speaker.
The Samsung Mesmerize has a 5 megapixel camera with a LED flash light, unlike most of the Samsung Galaxy S devices.
The back is high glossy black and is a fingerprint magnet. You will find the camera and flash, Galaxy S label, and mono speaker down in the lower left.
The cool microUSB port with sliding door and 3.5mm headset jack are found on the top of the Samsung Mesmerize.
Every recent Samsung device I have tried has the power button on the upper right side and this one is the same.
The volume button and lanyard opening are found in the upper left side of the Mesmerize.
Samsung and U.S. Cellular include some handy utilities, such as the wireless modem, TeleNav navigation software, and voice recorder.
This full page of apps includes typical things like the Android Market and Google Maps, but also has a task manager, ThinkFree Office, and more.
Another page of application shortcuts shows the camera, Gmail, browser, and more.
The Mesmerize comes in an attractive solid retail package.
