How to clean up your Facebook apps

    This is a quick guide showing you how to clean up your Facebook apps. To start, login to Facebook, click on the drop-down menu in the top right, and choose Account Settings.

    From the Account Settings page, click on Apps in the left-hand menu.

    From the App Settings page, look at your apps and make a note of each one you don't trust, don't like, or haven't even seen before. Click Edit on the first one.

    As you can see, each app has a lot permissions to your Facebook account. Some of these permissions can be removed one-by-one (in this case, "Post to Facebook as me") but others are required for the app to function (in this case "Access my basic information" and "Send me email"). Click on Remove app in the top right corner.

    Click on the blue Remove button.
