Image Gallery: Hands-on with the AT&T HTC Aria Google Android device

AT&T has not yet had an HTC Google Android device and they decided to launch one just a couple of days before the iPhone 4 launch. HTC packed a lot into this small compact HTC Sense device and for the most part is sails along quite nicely.Check out my first impressions article that includes a video walk through.

The AT&T retail box contents may be slightly different, but this box contained a USB cable, A/C charging adapter, battery, and wired stereo headset.

Here you can see the opened back of the HTC Aria.

The back of the Aria is a bit striking with see through plastic on the bottom so you can see some of the internals.

Four corner screws are visible on the back of the Aria and show through the back cover.

You do not have to take out the battery to access the microSD card slot that is adjacent to the SIM card slot on the back.

As you can see the four corners screws show through openings in the back cover. A 5 megapixel camera and speaker grill are up towards the top of the back.

The device is very compact and fits well in my hand.

The bottom contains the microUSB port and microphone.

Volume controls are found on the left side.

The power button and 3.5mm headset jack are placed on the top.

An optical joystick is used for navigation on the HTC Aria.

There are no physical buttons, but touch sensitive areas for you to go Home or access the menu.

The back and search touch sensitive areas are found on the right side.

The speaker grill contains the indicator light.
