Image Gallery: M-Edge Executive Leather Case and e-Luminator for Amazon Kindle

The Amazon Kindle comes with decent black leather case, but it doesn't do a very good job of holding the device securely in place when the front flap is opened. There is also no backlighting on the Kindle so you need good lighting to read with the device. M-Edge has two solutions that integrate with each other to address both of these issues and I was pleased to finally find such an elegant solution.

The M-Edge Executive Leather Jacket is available in a number of colors and finishes. The smooth Mocha model was sent for evaluation and came wrapped in plastic.

There is a high quality leather strap that slides into the thin pocket on the front of the case to keep your Kindle in place as you carry your ebook reader.

Inside you can see there are pockets on the left, a pen holder in the spine area, and four straps/loops that secure the Kindle in place on the right side.

There are several different sized pockets on the left side that you can use to carry SD cards, business cards, and more.

The straps are made of leather to securely hold the Kindle in place. An elastic loop is available to slide a pen in place.

The upper right strap is a bit different because it is designed to let you slide it on and off to access the power and wireless switches on the Kindle. There is nylon and leather on this strap.

Here you can see the loop fits over the Kindle's upper right corner.

You can see that the Kindle is fully accessible when placed in the M-Edge Executive Leather Jacket.

A classy logo is embedded on the back of the Leather Jacket.

Here you can see the back view and how the consistent center strap design extends all around the case.

You get a battery with the e-Luminator light and can see how the unit is presented. You will need some kind of case to hold the large securing bar and the M-Edge case are designed perfectly to support this light solution.

An Energizer A23 battery is included with the light. I haven't had to replace it yet and will need to read for many more hours I imagine before a replacement is needed.

The large plastic support bar slides into the upper right pocket of the case.

The upper portion of the light is where the top unscrews for the battery.

The light extends down to the bottom of the case and you simply turn it on by pressing the small clickable button.

The light is on the end of a flexible steel bar and can be positioned where you get the best view. I found the light to be soft and bright enough to light up the entire Kindle display. It is so refreshing to have a nice light solution and I have actually been reading more with this accessory.
