Safari 3 comes to Windows and it brings just enough features to make the browser wars interesting.

Apple has launched Safari for Windows and like iTunes it's likely to show some early traction. Bottom line: The browser race just got a little more interesting. Overall, Safari does seem quicker. Click to zoom.

Preferences resemble the previous version of Safari. The ability to easily swap default browsers is handy.

One beef: Where can I add an alternative search engine? Apple seems to have dictated a world of Google or Yahoo. Guess I can't pursue my life without Google series on Safari.

The bug (or spider button) is a nice touch. There were countless times on my Mac where a site just didn't look right on Safari. Now there's a way to report problems.

The Bonfour application, which is typically on the Mac OS, shows me stuff on the network. It's pretty handy. You see where this is going though. Apple could become the way to view your network on a PC.

The ability to move a tab to a new Window is handy for someone that tends to overdose on the tabs. Tab management is better.

Perhaps the best part of Safari. The ability to see all of your plug-ins in one easy view. I didn't even know half this stuff was there.
