Incipio and Survivor cases for Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra: Dual-layer and compostable options

Five case options for both the S21 Ultra and S21 were sent along to try out with both Incipio and Survivor brands. Incipio cases include the 100% compostable one, one designed for enhanced grip and another with dual-layer design.

The Survivor Strong in clear and black were provided for both new Galaxy smartphones.

While I am a fan of different cases, I hate when I can't find someone to take and old case and end up throwing it in the garbage. The Organicore case for the S21 and S21 Ultra incorporates material from plants and is 100% compostable. In addition, for every Organicore case sold a tree is planted.

The Incipio Grip case is available in Black and Midnight Blue for $39.99. The focus of this case is on improving your ability to hold onto your phone while also offering 14-feet drop protection. Multi-directional elements are present along the edges of the case to help you hold onto your phone.

Antimicrobial treatment is present to keep your case fresh too.

I love the buttons on the Incipio Grip since they are well-spaced and stand apart from the right edge. You will have no issues activating the volume or power button on the Samsung Galaxy S21 devices.

The Incipio Duo case is a dual-layer protective case for the Galaxy S21. The inner layer is soft-touch silicone with a hard shell outer layer.

The inside back of the inner layer is designed to help absorb and dissipate shock when dropped while also protecting the back finish of your phone.

The Incipio Duo case is available in Black, Indigo Blue, and Salsa Red for $29.99. The color is present on the hard outer layer while the soft silicone inner layer is black. I love the looks of the Salsa Red case on the black Galaxy S21 Ultra.

The case is designed for 12-feet drop protection with Impact Strut protection tech in the dual layers. Antimicrobial treatment is also provided to eliminate 99.9% of surface bacteria.

Bottom openings are present for the USB-C port and speaker. There are small nubs on the back to make your S21 level with the large camera array when set down on a surface.

While the Galaxy S21 can be inserted into the case, you can also pull the two layers of the Duo case apart to see the inner silicone layer and outer hard shell.

The hard outer shell has a soft touch finish so that your ability to hold onto the phone is improved when in the case.

There is a cutout along the top of the front for the upper stereo/headset speaker while the edges rise above the sides to help protect the display when you set the phone face down on a surface.

The Survivor Strong case is available in Black and Clear for the Galaxy S21 devices for a price of $29.99.

Two layers are used to compose the Survivor Strong case that provides 10-feet of drop protection. FortiCore shock absorption technology is used to dissipate the energy from an accidental drop.

The side buttons have a tactile design with ridges in the buttons. 5G connectivity and wireless charging functions are supported. 

The Survivor Parametric pattern design is found on the interior of the case to help reduce the force of an impact. Ample openings are provided for all ports, mics, and speakers.

Discoloration defense and raised edges are also present in the Survivor Strong cases.

The Phantom Violet S21 looks great in a Clear Survivor Strong case. The back hard clear material is also scratch-resistant. This is important for clear cases as they tend to scratch easily and lose their luster.

The cutout for the camera is also reinforced to provide extra protection for your cameras.
