    After spending months revamping its Sydney campus, Microsoft Australia invited staff to repopulate the newly refurbished third and fourth floors on Monday. ZDNet UK's sister site ZDNet Australia took a look behind the scenes.

    Microsoft Australia hot desks

    Microsoft Australia's entire office is now based on the concept of hot-desking. Staff are given a laptop and access to a standard set of equipment on each desk so that they can sit at a new location each day.

    Each desk comes with the silver and blue Toshiba desktop interface, two large LCD monitors and network connection facilities.

    The new kitchen area on level three comes with table football and wall-mounted plasma screens. Microsoft intends to install Xbox 360 consoles complete with the Kinect motion game system for staff to enjoy during their downtime.
