Here's the laptop! Pretty impressive.
Bootup: Start of the bootup process.
Watch the penguin: This will be familiar to all Linux users out there.
OLPC desktop: Here's the OLPC desktop. The icons top and bottom are pretty much all there is to the navigation. The high-contrast colors make is easier to use in sunlight.
Exploring the Internet: Browsing the Internet is a snap. I like the way that the address bar displays the title of the page after it's loaded. A nice and simplifying touch.
Group Chat: This allows children using a OLPC to talk to other children nearby. Nice.
Talking to myself!: Since I'm running this in VMware there's nobody else to talk to, but the chat program is nice and intuitive.
Memosono: An educational image matching game.
RSS feed reader: I think that the inclusion of an RSS feed reader is a very good idea indeed. This one is pretty simple to use but it might be a nice touch if it integrated with the web browser.
Word processing: The word processor bundled with the OLPC is Abiword. This is simple to use and comes with a handy spell checker
Tamtam: Tamtam is a music synthesis tool. I couldn't make much sense of the interface and the sound didn't work in VMware so it's a mystery to me how this works.
Etoys: This takes me back - simple programming tool that uses Squeek (based on the Smalltalk programming language).
FreeCell: Now I'm happy!
Chess: And finally, chess.
