The Cocoro Meter measures the level of an enzyme found in saliva to see just how frazzled you are.
On Dec. 6, 2005, Isako Tanaka, an employee of Japanese medical equipment maker Nipro, displays the Cocoro Meter, a device that gauges stress levels by measuring the level of the enzyme amylase in saliva. The gadget sells for 19,800 yen ($164).
