Getting a Kindle/Kindle Keyboard for Christmas? Check out our Kindle cases round-up...

Giving or getting a Kindle this Christmas? You'll be wanting some kind of case or cover to keep your e-reader safe from scratches and bumps. Check out our round-up of cases for the two Kindles currently available in the UK: Amazon's newest (and smallest) Kindle, costing £89, and the £149 Kindle Keyboard 3G.

Amazon Kindle Keyboard Lighted Leather Cover

Owners of the Kindle Keyboard can opt to give more cash to Amazon by buying the Kindle-maker's Lighted Leather Cover, pictured above in 'steel blue'.

The case features a built in LED light that can be deployed by pulling it out from the top corner of the case. The light runs off the Kindle's battery.

    Cost: £50.99

    Amazon Kindle Lighted Leather Cover

Owners of the new, smaller, keyboard-less Kindle can buy a dedicated cover with built-in light, pictured above in 'olive'.

The LED light flips out from the top of the case, snapping back into place when not needed. As with Amazon's Kindle Keyboard cover, the light runs off the Kindle's battery.

While made of leather this case won't add significant bulk to the Kindle, and can be folded right back to allow one-handed reading.

    Cost: £49.99

    Amazon Kindle Zip Sleeve

A cheaper Amazon case option for Kindle owners who don't want a built-in light is this Zip Sleeve case, pictured above in the 'lime' colourway.

The zip sleeve may not have any fancy features but will keep your Kindle safe from scratches. It is offered in a choice of five colours, including blue, coral and charcoal.

    Cost: £24.99
