Presentation, presentation, presentation...
Apple has reworked its Keynote presentation creator software for its iPad touchscreen tablet. The app costs £5.99 but what can users expect for their cash?
Like it's more expensive Mac application sibling, Keynote for iPad offers a choice of themes to speed up the process of presentation creation. There are basic white, black and gradient presentation templates or 12 Apple-designed themes which can be customised by changing fonts, colours and graphics as required.
Keynote presentations created on a Mac can also be imported to the iPad app, along with Microsoft PowerPoint files.

New slides can be created by pressing the '+' symbol in the bottom left-hand corner and choosing a slide template.
Photos and other imagery can be imported from the iPad's photo album by touching the picture icon in the menu at the top right-hand corner.

All the slides in the presentation are displayed in the nav bar on the left-hand side of the screen.

The running order of slides can be changed by touching an individual slide (shown above) and dragging it to a new location in the stack. Multiple slides can be moved at the same time by touching one slide and keeping your finger on it while using another finger to tap any additional slides you want to move.

Text - and images - can be edited by double-tapping. There's additional formatting and editing options for both by tapping the 'i' menu at the top right-hand side of the screen.
Here, bullet points have been added to this text list.

Line-drawn shapes can also be added to slides via the pictures menu, along with tables and charts...

Keynote also enables non-text components on slides to be animated - including graphs, charts and photos - via the small cog icon at the top right-hand menu.
Animations can also be created to make for more flashy transitions between slides such as this 'cube' effect...

Finished presentations can be played directly on the iPad via the 'play' icon at the top right. Or an iPad Dock Connector to VGA Adapter can be used to hook up the iPad to a projector, monitor, TV or other large display.
Presentations can also be exported - either as Keynote files for Mac or PDFs.
