The new MacBook Pro is about 0.71-inch wide - compared here to the last generation.  It's a quarter thinner and about as thick as a MacBook Air. 4.46 pounds

Most of all it's got Retina Display.

It's got HDMI, a 7-hour battery, 11n Wi-Fi and BlueTooth 4.0. FaceTIme HD, dual microphones and stereo speakers. It's  15.4-inches across, and the pixels are 2,880 x 1,800.

Apple is now offering system-wide dictation.

Craig Federighi, Apple's SVP of Mac: if you have a bunch of tabs, you basically just zoom out until you're in tab view, then you can cruise through your tabs.

New feature: Omnibar-like tool that will search as you type into the address bar. The search box is gone.

This is the feature that lets you beam what you're watching on your Mac to an AirPlay-video enabled device. You need MacBook Air (2nd generation) as well as the latest MacBook Pro with Retina Display.

Airplay supports turn-based and head-to-head gaming. That's Mac to Mac, and Mac to iOS games.

New features for China: Chinese input methods improved, new fonts, character recognition, support for Baidu as well as a handful of Chinese e-mail services. "Get your apps ready for China," Federighi says.

The Siri update is next up. Apple showed an example of what it can do for sports addicts: latest batting average, current scores and standing, and she even answers question.

Who is taller, LeBron or Kobe?" and Siri just says "LeBron James appears to be slightly taller."

Another new feature is called Eyes Free. Apple's working this with car manufactures to let you use Siri from the steering wheel. Does not light up the screen, just uses spoken alerts.

Plus Siri is coming to the iPad.

Apple is adding much more Facebook integration.

Apple now has Maps. They'll give turn-by-turn directions, traffic updates, places of interest, and Siri.

The maps also come in 3D.
