A tablet PC replaces the sketchbook for one caricature artist in London's Leicester SquareLondon's Leicester Square with its bars and cinemas is a popular destination for tourists, and many have their portraits and caricatures drawn by the resident artists.
But for one day Emil has swapped his notebook and charcoal for a tablet PC. And instead of sending tourists on their way clutching their caricature on paper, he is emailing them out via a wireless net connection.
So silicon.com sent down a human guinea pig, business editor Steve Ranger, to test it out. Note the anxious look as the artist starts work.
Emil in action, with some of his other work in the background.
The tension builds as the caricature starts to take shape, much to the amusement of the onlooking crowd of tourists...
...especially as the victim doesn't know how the picture is developing - or which features the artist has picked on.
Emil adds a few last flourishes to the picture and finally reveals...
...the finished article, which then wings its way back to silicon.com for the amusement of the rest of the team.
