Photos: Motorola's Razr offspring
Krzr
Motorola is building a family of cell phones based on the design and brand identity of its hot-selling Razr. The Krzr, one of several new models, is 12 millimeters narrower than the Razr, which is 54 millimeters wide. The Krzr, however, also is slightly thicker than the Razr to accommodate a 2-megapixel camera and storage space for 500 songs. The case is made of magnesium, polished chrome and hardened glass. The phone should be available worldwide by the end of the year. This is the GSM model, the Krzr K1.
Krzr K1m
The slightly bigger Krzr K1m from Motorola has a 1.3-megapixel camera and external touch-sensor music controls. It's the CDMA-model Krzr.
Rizr
The Rizr, at 46 millimeters wide, is a slide phone with a 2-megapixel camera. It initially will be sold to operators using GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) networks, which are most common in Europe.
V3XX
The Razr V3XX is designed to work on HSDPA (High-Speed Downlink Packet Access) networks, a faster version of GSM that will allow consumers to stream video or music into the phone.
Maxx
Like the Razr V3XX, the Razr Maxx is HSDPA-compatible and designed to handle streaming video or music.
