InvisibleShield protector, Wembley, and Crystal Palace Gear4 cases

Google's new Pixel 4a 5G is one of the most affordable 5G phones available today and it has all the great Pixel camera goodies inside. While it is an affordable phone, it is still a good idea to protect your investment given that it will get software updates for three years.

ZAGG has a few accessories available for the Google Pixel 4a 5G and sent along three items to check out. I tried out the InvisibleShield Glass Elite VisionGuard Plus screen protector, a Gear4 Wembley case, and a Gear4 Crystal Palace case.

Getting ready to install the screen protector

The glass Elite VisonGuard Plus screen protector package comes with an alcohol wipe, microfiber cloth, dust removal stickers, installation guide frame, and the protector.

The screen protector has a blue light filter and anti-microbial treatment to help your eyes and keep your device safe from germs.

ZAGG states that the glass used in this protector is it's strongest ever. It also feels fantastic and helps prevent fingerprints on the display.

Guide frame and instructions

Some protectors are tough to line up, but with ZAGG's guide frame you simply clean the display, place the frame on your phone, and then place the protector on your display. It was quick, easy, and bubble-free too.

Even when there are cameras to line up and such, I prefer having a guide help me achieve a perfect alignment of the protector.

Gear4 Wembley Palette case

The Gear4 Wembley Palette case is one of my favorites with excellent tactile buttons on the right side, classy Smoke color, and matte finish for optimal grip on the phone.

It's available now for $29.99 and offers 10 feet drop protection thanks to its D3O technology.

Lower back of the Wembley case

The upper and lower parts of the case have glossy black finish with openings for the USB-C port, speaker, mic, and headphone jack. The D3O technology used in the case will help protect your phone from drops, with the glossy black material offering corner protection.

You can see the phone through the transparent back smoke material. ZAGG's RepelFlex antimicrobial treatment is also incorporated to help keep your phone, and you, a bit healthier.

Back openings

There is an ample opening on the back for the rear camera array with a raised edge around it to help protect it from damage.

I love the rear fingerprint sensor on the Pixel 4a 5G and the Wembley Palette case helps you hit the target even more accurately with the opening on the back.

Crystal Palace case for clear fans

ZAGG also offers the Gear4 Crystal Palace case for those who want a clear case to show off the phone. This case is priced at $39.99.

The Gear4 Crystal Palace case offers a bit higher level of protection with a 13 feet drop rating. It also has antimicrobial and anti-yellowing treatment to keep it germ-free and clear.

There are openings on the top for the headphone jack and microphone.

Back of the Crystal Palace case

The back design is similar to the Wembley Palette case with protection for the camera array and fingerprint sensor targeting.

Google Pay works well with the case on. The back finish is glossy and not as tactile as the Wembley Palette case, but the sides provide good feel and grip to help you hold onto your phone.

The case contains recycled plastic, which is always great to hear as we try to reuse plastic products.
