Often, if you put your phone on silent for a meeting, you'll forget to set it to loud again afterwards. This app lets you set how long you want your phone to be silent for, so you don't have to worry about forgetting. You can also specify calls that you're willing to take during the time when the phone is on silent.

St George

Platform: iOS (iPhone)

The St George iPhone app has had some new features added, including the ability to apply for a credit card using the app, and a PropertyMate tool, which guides customers through the steps required to carry out a property inspection. Customers could already open transaction and savings accounts on their mobiles and track their budget using the app.

The app is also available on Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and iPad, but without the new features.

ownCloud

Platform: Android, iOS (iPhone and iPad)

Price: AU$0.99

If you need a file-sync-and-share cloud that you can control, you can connect devices to a private ownCloud server running in your datacentre. It seems as though there are still a few bugs to work out in the app, but the idea is sound.
