What's my name

Price: Free one week trial then $1.87
Platform: Android

Bad at remembering names? This app imports photos from your contacts, Facebook or LinkedIn, then displays them with a choice of four different names. Then in a flash card-style game, you must choose the correct one or you'll get it plastered with a big red "X" to let you know you failed miserably. It can be played in continuous mode or timed mode to simulate the pressure you'll be under during an important business meeting or social mixer.

The new apps also show customers where the nearest ATM and branch is in the yellow top bar, based on a user's GPS position with the option to view branches and ATMs on a Google Map.

And, if you run out of data within the monthly billing period and your speed slows to dial-up, you can get one extra gigabyte free by beating the call centre in a built-in arcade game.

LogMeIn Ignition allows users to remotely control their PC or Mac through the app. They just need to install LogMeIn for free on the computers to be controlled remotely and download the app. Now it's possible to access photos on your PC. LogMeIn has just updated the app for iOS so that users can now copy photos between the iPad and iPhone photo library and Ignition. They can also attach files of any kind to emails from Ignition. Another addition is that users can now set Ignition to shut down while multitasking after a pre-allocated number of minutes.

The app is also available for Android, but not the same version as the iOS.
