Dolphin Browser Beta

Dolphin has said that its beta is the "highest-performing HTML5 browser available today", and it is fast. It has gesture-based navigation, where drawing a rough "G" on the screen, for example, will take you to Google. It also has voice search, as well as tabbed browsing, sidebars and add-ons. It supports Web Worker, Web Socket, Web Audio and real-time video display via the camera.

Now on iPad, this app is a basic text editor, like Notepad. As soon as you open the app, you have a new blank page for your thoughts, which exports to almost anything, including Dropbox, Evernote, email, messages, clipboard, Markdown and Tweetbot. It syncs smoothly via Cloud between iPad and iPhone, so you can have all of your stuff across both devices, wherever you go.

NAB has now developed an app for Windows Phone, adding to its Android and iPhone apps. It features an ATM locator, which uses Microsoft's Bing Maps, a live Twitter feed for NAB tweets and standard payment-transaction capabilities. The bank took advantage of Windows Phone's Live Tiles feature by allowing the currency-conversion part of the new app to be turned into a Live Tile.

Facebook has finally managed to make its iOS app less terrible. The new update is faster and less error prone than the old app was, and it is much nicer to look at, too. Facebook is reportedly now making its staff use the Android app until they update it, so we'll probably see a better version of that app out soon.
