Google Analytics

The Google Analytics team has finally released an official app. You can use it to access real-time statistics or dashboards for your Google Analytics Profiles.

VLC Beta

Price: Free

Platform: Android

VLC has made its way out from the desktop, through private beta and finally on to Android devices. The app is an open-source multimedia player that gained mass appeal on the desktop for its support of almost all types of media.

Although it is already on Google Play, its developers have issued a word of warning, stating that this port of the app is still in beta, and will be slower than the final version. The developers jokingly added that it might "kill your kitten, destroy your house and start the Mayan apolcalypse".

Google Chrome

Price: Free

Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android

This week, Chrome reached the top of the charts for iOS. It has got an integrated address and search field, multi-tab browsing and incognito mode.

Reeder

Price: AU$2.99 for iPhone, AU$5.49 for iPad

Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad)

Reeder for iPhone had a major overhaul last week, and it looks much slicker and has been made much easier to navigate between RSS subscriptions.

Platform: Windows Phone 7, iOS (iPhone and iPad), Android

Twitter for Windows Phone 7 now has push notifications for retweets, DMs, new followers and mentions, which many are celebrating.

iView

Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad)

If you're too busy to sit down to watch Aunty, the ABC has now released its iView app for the iPhone. You can watch all of your favourite content from your device of choice.

Firefox

Price: Free
Platform: Android

Firefox has relaunched onto Android, with a massive update that improved the browser useability by 110 per cent. It's a lot faster, with a completely redesigned interface, Flash support, syncing across platforms and custom add-ons.

For those who desperately want to use Google Drive on their iDevice, you can now access your free 5GB storage there with the new apps for iPad and iPhone.
