NoBloat

Price: $1.35
Platform: Android

If you've ever thought to yourself, "Gee whillikers, my Android phone sure is full of preinstalled apps I will never use," then NoBloat is for you. All you have to do is select the apps that you don't want, and hit Delete — and, in case you're concerned about whether or not you're deleting something important, the app will automatically put a back-up on your SD card, so that you can reinstall the app whenever you like. You can also set up a blacklist to quickly get rid of apps that you don't want when you install a new ROM. There are some disclaimers, so make sure you read them on the app's download page before installing.

The app also allows users to secure fields through a password-protection feature, so you have peace of mind knowing that your videos, photographs, music and other files are not only available, but they're available only to you.

My Bus 2.0 Schedule Canberra

Price: Free
Platform: Android

The app designers are, however, waiting on GPS bus stop data from the government before implementing full functionality.
