Adaptec makes SMB storage a snap

A series of network attached storage servers aimed at the small- to medium-sized business market has been unveiled by Adaptec.

in brief Adaptec has launched a series of NAS (network attached storage) servers aimed at helping small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with minimal IT systems.

Available now, the Snap Server 110, 210 and 410 run on Adaptec's own Linux-based GuardianOS for backup, data replication and recovery.

The single disk Snap Server 110 comes in 160GB, 250GB and 500GB varieties and is price at AU$999, AU$1,245 and AU$1,819 respectively. Its larger cousin, the 210, supports RAID 0 or RAID 1 across two disks, and comes in 500GB or 1TB flavours, with prices at AU$2,152 and AU$3,557 respectively.

The Snap Server 410 comes with four disk drives in 640GB, 1TB and 2TB configurations, supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and RAID 5, and has a starting price of AU$3,611.
