1,027,713 thin clients shipped in EMEA in 2005

According to IDC, EMEA thin client hardware shipments grew 42% in 2005 compared with 2004. The market grew 45% in Q4 2005 versus Q4 2004. Thin client shipments passed the magic million-unit mark, with a total of 1,027,713 units shipped. HP and Wyse tied for the top spot, with less than 1% of share separating them. HP had 25.6% of the market and Wyse 25.23%. Both mature and emerging markets showed strong growth, although there is considerable variation in growth by country.
