29% of all music sold in the US in 2004 was burned to a CD

Burned CDs accounted for 29% of all recorded music obtained by fans in 2004, compared to 16% attributed to downloads from online file-sharing networks, NPD Group says. Album sales in the North America are down about 7% in 2005 compared with 2004 sales.
