47% of Europeans use the Internet, 85% of 16-24-year-olds

Eurostat survey found that 85% of European school or university students aged 16-24 used the Internet, while only 13% of people aged between 55-74 went online. 25% of those who had not completed high school used the Internet, with the figure rising to 52% for those who attained a secondary school diploma and to 77% for college or university graduates.
