60.366 mln mobile users in India

India's wireless sector added 2.49 mln new users in July 2005, taking the total number of customers to 60.366 mln. The Cellular Operators Association said 1.954 mln customers have signed up for GSM services in July 2005. Overall, Indian GSM carriers had 46.874 mln customers at the end of July 2005, up 4.35% over June 2005.
