64 mln DSL subscribers worldwide

The DSL sector added 28 mln subscribers in 2003 to reach just under 64 mln subscribers worldwide, according to report by the DSL Forum. In 2002-2003, adoption of DSL technology has been increasing around the world, especially in Europe and Asia.

The DSL sector added 28 mln subscribers in 2003 to reach just under 64 mln subscribers worldwide, according to report by the DSL Forum. In 2002-2003, adoption of DSL technology has been increasing around the world, especially in Europe and Asia. However, it was North America that helped drive growth in 2003. More than 3 mln subscribers signed on to DSL service in 2003, bringing the total North America subscriber totals to just over 11 mln.
