80% of corporate WiFi networks are bleeding data

Global wireless security company M-Red (who, as one would imagine, has some interest in selling wireless security products and services) surveyed 100 global multinational companies to find out that 80% of them have wireless networks that are accessible to the outsiders. Financial services companies kept the best profile - only 60% of them leaked data, banks were second with 67% of networks wide open, and educational institutions were the worst with 100% of networks being open. Arguably, educational institutions might have mandated open access for better on-campus connectivity.
