ABN AMRO Craigs to get new CIO

New Zealand-based investment services joint venture ABN AMRO Craigs has created a new chief information officer position. The organisation outlined the plans in an advertisement placed this morning, citing increased growth in its business systems department over the past two years as a basis for creating the new role.

The organisation outlined the plans in an advertisement placed this morning, citing increased growth in its business systems department over the past two years as a basis for creating the new role.

"This growth and a number of key project initiatives have made it necessary to further equip the business by employing a CIO/programme director to lead all aspects of information management," ABN AMRO Craigs said.

The new CIO will be responsible for a team of 13, be located in the firm's head office in Tauranga, and employed on a two-year term to deliver specific projects as well as developing long-term strategic plans.

Tauranga is located in New Zealand's Bay of Plenty region on the North Island and is attracting a high level of population growth. ABN AMRO Craigs has 13 offices nationwide, according to the group's Web site.
