America Online Inc. (NYSE: AOL) has agreed to acquire Tegic Communications for an undisclosed amount. Tegic makes software that allows wireless device users to type messages using a telephone keypad. AOL said the acquisition will help advance it's "AOL Anywhere" program, which is designed to make the service accessible through a variety of devices. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNet News
