Apple iPad pre-orders start today at 8:30AM ET
In case you somehow forgot, anyone interested in pre-ordering the illustrious and infamous Apple iPad will be able to do so in just a few hours, starting at 8:30AM ET/5:30AM PT. Talk about an early wake-up call for West Coasters. But if you snooze, you might lose.
It will probably be quite an interesting morning over at Apple's website. Maybe there will be so much traffic at the online Apple Store that it will crash. Or maybe Apple won't even meet pre-order expectations. Who knows what could happen?
The shiny touchscreen slates won't actually be available until April 3, and prices start at $499. While I don't plan on buying an iPad (but I will not say "never" because I might eat my words later), there are certainly other folks looking forward to getting their pre-order in.
