Apple sets up shop in Argentina
Apple Computer Inc. is honing its competitive edge in South America with a new subsidiary based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The story resembles Apple's challenges in other global markets: In recent years, competition from leading international PC brands as well as local manufacturers has cut into the Mac maker's leadership in markets it traditionally dominated, such as education.
