Apple to lead education sales

Apple Macs will make up 34 percent of the computers purchased among the top five brands in school districts during the 1999-2000 school year, according to QED's Technology Purchasing Forecast, 1999-2000, a new report from Quality Education Data, Inc. Trailing are Compaq and Dell, with 19 percent each, then Gateway and IBM, with 13 percent each.
