ASG Group today announced a new five-year deal with Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) for the provision of corporate IT services, including end-user computing services, IT services management, corporate servers and applications management.

"We feel that this deal is great for us in terms of our expansion into the commercial sector," ASG's chief officer for sales and strategic operations Murray Rosa told ZDNet Australia.

Rosa was not able to comment on the exact cost of the five-year deal, instead saying that it is "a multimillion-dollar deal with VHA that we are very excited about".

ASG had supplied similar services to Hutchison prior to the merger of its Australian operations with Vodafone in mid-2009, with Rosa specifying that the five-year services deal was the result of a new tendering process, rather than a renewal of previous contracts.

The new contract sees ASG expand its relationship with VHA over the next five years, with two contract extension options of one year each.

Over the last six months, ASG has secured over $140 million in new contracts throughout Australia.

In March, ASG was awarded a $41 million contract by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to deliver ongoing core IT requirements, as well as a $13 million contract with the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.
