Will you be looking for an extreme motherboard to go with an Intel Core i7 processor once they are released? Take a look at the ASUS's Republic of Gamers (ROG) Rampage II Extreme:

Owners of the Rampage Extreme will recognize the familiar black PCB and red, white and blue highlights on the board. This board is packed with heatsinks, and given that the LGA 1333 CPU socket is larger than the LGA 775, I'd say that you're going to need good airflow through the case to keep thus puppy happy.

The spec on the Rampage II Extreme is promising:

  • Triple-channel memory, DDR3 1800(OC)/1600(OC)/1333/1066/MHz, 6x DIMM, 12GB RAM max
  • Multi-GPU support - 3x PCIe 2.0 x16 (supporting x16, x8, x8, or dual x16) - 2x PCIe 2.0 x1 (one used for audio expansion card) - 1x PCI 2.2
  • 7x SATA 3.0GB/s, 1x eSATA, 1x UDAM 133
  • Dual Gigabit LAN
  • 2x 1394a
  • 12x USB 2.0

No word on price yet, but I assume that if you have to ask the price, this isn't the board for you!
