Integrated circuit software designer Avant! Corp. reported third quarter earnings in line with analysts' expectations Friday and said it expected fourth-quarter earnings and revenues to increase about 10 percent to 14 percent over levels for the same quarter of 1999. The company said pro forma third-quarter earnings were 45 cents per diluted share, up 21 percent over the same period last year.
