Barnes & Noble invests in iUniverse

Barnes & Noble Inc. (NYSE: BKS) has bought a 49 percent stake in iUniverse.com, a publishing portal. iUniverse will publish authors' works using print on demand technology and market the books online. Financial terms of the deal were not released. -- Margaret Kane, ZDNN
