Blue Microphones has updated its Mikey tool for professional-quality recording on-the-go with iPod and iPhone.
The pocket-sized Mikey 2G can record anything from lectures to concerts to quiet interviews as there are three gain settings for getting the best audio feed possible. The latest model sports a 3.5mm jack for direct recording of other audio sources such musical instruments or another iPod for dubbing. It can even be used to help capture better audio for videos shot with your iOS device.
The following devices are compatible (note that the iPhone 4 is not included): iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G; iPod nano 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G; iPod classic; iPod 5G; iPhone 3GS and earlier.
The Mikey 2G microphone is available now with an MSRP of $79.
