Border silliness

Wow, I am glad my blog is not as popular as this guy's. He has dozens of responses to his recent post where he describes how he got turned away at the border on his way from Canada to the US.

Wow, I am glad my blog is not as popular as this guy's. He has dozens of responses to his recent post where he describes how he got turned away at the border on his way from Canada to the US. The Border Patrol reportedly Googled him and used statements in his blog to determine that he was "living" in the US. Of course he was technically visiting the US staying with a friend in New York, but in his blog he said he was living in the US. So, they barred him from re-entry for six months.

On the brighter side TSA is now allowing me to carry a nail clipper in my carry-on luggage! This is a significant improvement to my quality of life. Have you ever been on the road for two weeks and had torn nails? Until this trip I have had to buy a nail clipper and throw it away.

Thank you TSA for this vast improvement.
