BT set to offer free local calls package

BT is expected to announce an unmetered local telephone package for consumers later today, which is likely to be launched on 1 December.

The package is reported to be priced at £14.99 and will allow free local calls in the evening and at weekends with discounts for both national and international calls. Additionally, the UK telco is expected to announce an unmetered internet package for both internet and voice calls priced at £17.99 a month, which will also be available to internet service providers.
