Care to help Palm make a positive headline?

Palm has been taking a beating in the press lately with its dismal financial reports and lame advertising strategy, but I still made the decision to buy my own Verizon Pre Plus and have to say that webOS is refreshing and fun to use. I see that the Palm Pre Plus is now up against the RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 in Laptop Magazine's March Smart Phone Madness contest and just voted for the Palm Pre Plus.

I do think the hardware could be better, but webOS is quite incredible and I really want to see Palm figure out its advertising and get the device out into people's hands to try. Let's help give Palm some good news to write about and push them into the Final Four.

BTW, in looking at the current I think they are all pretty accurate, but have no idea how the BlackBerry Tour could have beaten the iPhone 3GS. The Tour doesn't even have WiFi while the iPhone 3GS easily beats that device in terms of hardware and software, IMHO. Who do you think will be crowned Smartphone Champion? I have a feeling that my new T-Mobile HD2 has a good shot and am enjoying the new commercials I see for it on TV and the Internet.

Honestly, there has been some very good news lately for the webOS. A new beta Facebook application was released that gives you notifications and other fixes. I actually did some testing on the mobile Facebook apps for the iPhone, Windows Mobile, Android, and webOS this past weekend and webOS was the ONLY one that lets me view Facebook videos in the application. You can also shoot video and upload it from the Palm Pre Plus so it is turning into the Facebook smartphone.
