The move comes just six months after Fioretti was appointed to jointly lead Nortel's division in Australia with Anthony McLachlan, the head of Nortel's Asia-Pacific and Greater China carrier business following Nortel making its then-Australia and New Zealand chief Mark Stevens redundant.

Nortel confirmed that Fioretto had left and said that Rick Seeto, an executive who's been with the company for over 20 years, would fill his role. According to his LinkedIn profile, Seeto is vice president of worldwide partner programs at Nortel, as well as chief marketing officer, Asia. He's previously been vice president of enterprise networks, Asia.
