Compaq plans LAN hardware push at Networks
Compaq will use next week's Networks '97 exhibition to showcase its latest big splash into the internetworking market.
The world number one in PCs will announce a networking product suite aimed at SME or corporate workgroups and host a "Network Management Challenge" at the Birmingham show which runs at the NEC from June 24-26. The Challenge, held by Compaq in troika with Microsoft and reseller Morse NT, will allow visitors to virtually manage a simulated corporate LAN based on Compaq hardware and software.
