Mobile barcodes enable you to share URLs and other information easily. Just ask your friends/coworkers to point their mobile phone cameras to your barcode and the encoded information will magically appear in their phones.

Someday you may be able to use your phone to scan inventory labels and see the item details and stock level on your phone. Or use your phone to scan a business card and automatically import the complete contact details into your phone's address book.

Here's how you can try out this new technology:

Click here to create a trial barcode. You may save the barcode, print it or email it to your friends/coworkers.

Download the Kaywa barcode reader: Go to your phone's WAP browser and browse to http://reader.kaywa.com. After installing the Kaywa barcode reader, go to your phone's Applications menu, click on Kaywa Reader and point your camera at the barcode.

If you try the barcode below, notice that a URL will automatically pop up in your phone. Clicking the URL will bring you to my WAP site.
