Dallas Semiconductor Corp. reported a third-quarter profit of $16.
Dallas Semiconductor Corp. reported a third-quarter profit of $16.9 million, or 57 cents per share, on revenues of $93 million, a 66 percent decline from the year ago quarter.
Last quarter, Dallas returned a profit of $15.3 million, or 52 cents per share, on revenues of $91 million.
The Dallas-based chip maker's sales and profits have been on a steady decline since the peaking at $233 million and $36 million, respectively, in the fourth quarter of 1995.
Shares of the company's were up 31 cents per share to $48.56.
