Reset those countdown clocks.

The deadline for the nation's switch to digital TV has been extended to June 12 - assuming, of course, that President Obama signs legislation that was passed in the Senate last week and today in the House of Representatives. The president has already expressed his support for a delay.

I was not in favor of a delay, as I mentioned in a previous blog post. This transition has been going on for some time and it's just going to end up costing more money - for awareness campaigns, for stations to extend licensing agreements, for delays incurred by companies who already had plans for the vacated spectrum. These days, no one can afford unnecessary expenses like these.
