Old version of Flash has a security hole
Earlier this week there was quite a bit of excitement about a report of a new zero-day exploit in the widely used Adobe Flash player. However, the report turned out to be incorrect. There is a security hole, but it was fixed over a month ago according to Adobe. Of course, if you are not running the latest version you're still vulnerable to the attack.

To tell if you're running the right version, simply go to this Adobe web site. You should see a Version Information panel similar to the one above. If it says you have version 9.0.115.0 or earlier, like mine did, you need to upgrade to the most recent version through the Player Download Center. Once you have upgraded, return to the test page to make sure it was installed properly.
