Farewell and good luck David

After 17 years working together through a variety of publications and online sites, starting with PCWeek (now eWeek) in 1991, my colleague David Berlind is changing teams. While toiling at ZDNet he and Doug Gold developed Mass Event Labs, a producer of unconference-style and custom events such as Mashup Camp and Startup Camp.

Their fledgling events company was acquired this week by United Business Media, and David will be working on events and blogging for his new employer.

Over the years, I watched David turn into one of the top tech journalists, taking on complex subjects with great passion, intellect and honesty, as well as mastering multiple forms of media. We wish him luck in his new endeavor.
