The US Federal government spending on information systems and services is expected to increase from $37.1 billion in 2002 to $63.3 billion by 2007, with a compounded annual growth rate of 11 per cent, while the healthcare industry is expected to see an IT spending of $17.3 billion by 2007 from the current $15 billion, said the National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) in its latest Strategic Review.
