Find open parking spots on your Android device

Great, one more thing for drivers to be distracted with. Open Spot is a cool concept, but it's going to take a lot of users who share the same vision for it to get off the ground.

Great, one more thing for drivers to be distracted with. Open Spot is a cool concept, but it's going to take a lot of users who share the same vision for it to get off the ground. Google has launched a new application for your mobile device that theoretically lets you find open parking spots when they are scarce.

The idea is that a lucky person who already has a spot (and who has an Android device) will be gracious enough to tell the cloud that he/she is about to pull out of their spot. If you are someone looking for one, this application will tell you if there are any of these type of spots available.

I'm skeptical that this will work -- even with the reach Google's got. Although, the app is actually pretty well done, and if people start using it, there won't be much to complain about. Is there any way that it might actually work? Let's hear what you think in the TalkBack.
