France: 30 percent of homes to have PCs

According to the institute GFK, 30 percent of French homes will be equipped with microcomputers by the end of the year. During the first half of 2000, two out of three PCs purchased had 500MHz or faster processors, with Intel (intc) Pentium III and Celeron chips in 75 percent of the machines sold.
